Father charged with daughter s death; police say she died during his overdose

LEBANON, Tenn. (WTVF) â A father was indicted and charged with killing his 4-month-old daughter Friday. Police say she died when he overdosed and fell on her back in April.
Officers were called to the Travell Inn on Murfreesboro Road for an unresponsive man and an unresponsive baby.
Once at the motel room, officers found the 38-year-old Jesse Wayne Craddock disoriented but the baby was still unresponsive. They gave the baby CPR and both were transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Wilson County.

WILMINGTON Jesse Wince White Jr., 72, passed into eternity Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, at home surrounded by his family. He was born March 12, 1948, in Chowan County to Jesse Wince White Sr. and Minnie Bass White, who preceded him in death.
Jessie graduated from Chowan High School and worked in management at Winn-Dixie for 8 years. Then, he built a convenience store, White’s Mini Mart, and ran it for 20 years with family members. In 2003, he and his family moved to Wilmington and he went to work at Food Lion until he had to retire in 2010 due to a devastating illness. He was a longtime member of Warwick Swamp Baptist Church, Hobbsville, and then Myrtle Grove Baptist Church, Wilmington.
