You can see behind me, San Jose Police are guarding the body of officer michael katherman. His body inside the medical Examiners Office here in san jose. In about an hour, more Law Enforcement will arrive to escort his body to the funeral home. He was married with two Young Children and had been with the San Jose Police for two years. He was a motorcycle officered and killed on tuesday when he and his bike collided with a van. Two men who happened to be nearby rushed to officer kathermans side and one of those Good Samaritan used his own radio to call for help. That was the voice of dan sullivan. The judge said at this point in the trial he has to view the evidence in a light most favorable to prosecutors. But the judge said that its a closer call when it comes to the charge of Second Degree depraved heart murder against van driver officer goodson. The defense argued there is no evidence that goodson gave freddie gray a rough ride in the police van. No witnesses, no skid marks, no evidence that goodson intended to injure freddie gray.
