If i use the word twilight to suggest that network news, as we have known it, is on its way out and as something new is emerging. Whether what is new will satisfy the urgent needs of our democracy cannot be noted at this time. Lets hope that it will. Without a free and occasionally rambunctious media, we will not be living in an open society. The free press and an open society are intimately linked, one dependent on the other. We sent it to the house. We were very close on the full bill. To my sheer surprise and shock, the house never took it up. I have never seen that before in my life, where the speaker of the house would not think that the 16 Million People that work in agriculture across america were not important enough to bring a fiveyear farm bill to the floor. That wa

Production. And so there have been there are some things in the farm bill that would restrict Crop Insurance a little bit. Thats thats in the senate in the senate bill. But then there are other pressures to increase Crop Insurance for crops that dont have it. Its much harder to do Crop Insurance for the specialty crops, the fruits and vegetables, the nuts, et cetera, because theyre grown on smaller acreages and so its hard to develop the program in which you figure out what the what the rules would be. With the wheat and the corn, et cetera, you spread it over, you know, over large areas so the Program Works fairly well for those but not for some of the products yet.
