Home after home has been torn up by the tornado that swept through here over the weekend. Its far from the only extreme weather event wreaking havoc across the country. A survey of the devastation from the air monday. Some of the houses are barely recognizable. Its just a pile of match shticks left. Residents on the ground tried to pick up the pieces. Salvaging what they can from piles of rubble from houses with no walls or roofs. These homes recently completed now reduced to scrap. [siren ] thats a tornado. Reporter this is after the tornadoes blasted through a 40mile swath of texas with winds up to 180 miles per hour. Police say at least 11 were killed. The twitter descending to interstate 40 where eight lost their lives. One tried to reach his sisters car there but couldnt save her. We tried. We had guys trying to flip it.
