Horizon Village helps Lee Health with extra blood drives
A Southwest Florida group called Horizon Village has been helping Lee Health with blood donations.
Every year, the group hosts three blood drives, but this year, organizers decided to step up and host two more blood drives.
“We normally have three blood drives a year, but I got a phone call, and Lee Health asked if I would be willing to run an additional drive,” said Charlie Kotzmann with Horizon Village.
Over the last four years, the group has saved 4,000 lives from the donations and has donated over 600 pints of blood between 2015 and 2020.
