A bill to expand Michigan’s civil rights law to include LGBTQ protections has been moved into a position to be voted on soon by the state Senate. Rick Pluta explains.
"For those who say it is too soon, they we need to heal first and should not be talking about legislation now, I reject the notion that we can not do both," she said. "I ask you to join me to do everything in our power to do both - love and legislate in the coming days and weeks."
"The only people who would be affected by these laws are the law-abiding person who is not going to be a threat anyway," said Dulan. "They are not going to stop someone who is truly intent on committing crime."
