PROVIDENCE – State officials gathered at the newly designated Bally’s Event Lawn on Wednesday to celebrate another example of the public-private partnerships driving forward the I-195 redevelopment project.
The time difference means some matches will be played when R.I. bars and restaurants can't legally be open, but two US matches in the first stage are at 9 p.m. ET.
“I don’t think they chose to listen to a lot of the businesses, or asked how it would affect us,” one downtown restaurateur said. But others are supportive of the arts festival’s new location and focus.
