Korea has finalized preparations for the 25th World Scout Jamboree that will bring together over 43,000 teenagers from 150 countries, Gender Equality and Family Minister Kim Hyun-sook said, Tuesday, with only a week left before the event kicks off.

The Korean government has drawn up various safety measures to manage crowds, infectious diseases, natural disasters as well as possible accidents during the upcoming 25th World Scout Jamboree in a bid to make it a safe event, Gender Equality and Family Minister Kim Hyun-sook said, Tuesday. The World Scout Jamboree will take place from Aug. 1 to 12 on reclaimed land in Saemangeum, North Jeolla Province, bringing together over 43,000 teenagers from 150 countries.
