She tells me her daughters trip started with a visit here at the Santa Cruz Beach boardwalk, before she headed north to another beach. The promise of a beautiful sunset here at Panther Beach in Santa Cruz County drew her for the first time here in july. It would turn out to be her last time. She drove her dying son to the hospital, but found no one in a hurry to help. The ambulance never came. Ive been here trying to get somebody to get my son out of the car. Reporter a frantic vallejo mom found her 21yearold son wounded on the street and drove him to the hospital herself. My son is a gunshot victim. Im still waiting for my son to get out of the car. Shot last night in what Police Describe as a barrage of bullets possibly fired between cars. Just a few hours before, several miles away, officers heard shots and discovered another young man dead.
