In addition, there are many thousands of local community forums and groups across the county who do a great job of keeping local residents abreast of community issues and events. As the Local Policing Inspector for Garioch, I am contacted by community councillors and other elected officials, wishing to discuss incidents or issues of a localised or criminal nature that have been shared or discussed on such community groups.

I certainly could not have foreseen the challenging years for us all ahead or the circumstances that have unfolded. I would like to thank partner agencies, other emergency services, local businesses and the public in Fraserburgh and the surrounding area for all their support and cooperation in helping to deal with the pandemic. We have all had to make sacrifices and changes in our personal and working lives to keep ourselves, family members and others safe.
