JENISON, Mich â Inside the former Aldi building on Chicago Drive, the non-profit Hand2Hand is currently growing its new headquarters.
The building will allow the faith-based organization to bring all team members under one roof, along with room for packing and food storage. If you drop a pin of where we are in West Michigan, this is the center, explained Cheri Honderd, the founder and executive director of Hand2Hand. It s actually where it began, Jenison. And it s now where this Aldi is, it s just the perfect fit.
Sex offender arrested after living more than 20 years under alias in Pasco County

A sex offender absconded in 1999 in Idaho was arrested more than 20 years later after officials found him living in Pasco County.
On Friday, US Marshals from Tampa, Florida Caribbean Fugitive Task Force, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Dixie County Sheriff s Office coordinated together to apprehend Idaho s longest absconded sex offender.
Phillip Jenison, 75, was wanted for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender after absconding from Idaho in 1999. Jenison was convicted for Molestation in 1995 and required by law to register as a sex offender upon his release from prison.

JENISON, Mich. â UPDATE: Saturday afternoon, a family friend told FOX 17 that 7-year-old Ruby Rissley passed away early Saturday morning at Helen DeVos Children s Hospital in Grand Rapids.
The community is rallying around a 7-year-old Jenison girl who was hospitalized on Thursday after she was hit by a car.
The accident happened on 12th Avenue and Chicago Drive in Jenison as Ruby Rissley was walking home from school at Bursley Elementary, just a few blocks away. She was not far from her home when traffic was backed up due to a train in the area when it happened.
Early Morning Crash Leaves Vehicle Hanging On I-196
An early morning car crash left a vehicle in a precarious situation, hanging off a bridge.
I can t tell, but the vehicle appears to be a truck or SUV that spun out and then rolled up the snow hill to the edge of the bridge.
The crash occurred on the eastbound Ford just before Chicago Drive exit 59. As in the previous posted video of an incident in Milwaukee, if you re driving, you should be very cautious of snow piled up along side area freeways, as hitting those at the right angle could launch you over the side.

JENSION, Mich. â Jenison Public Schools Superintendent Tom TenBrink will be retiring after this school year.
He made the announcement in a tweet Monday night.
Tonight I announced my retirement from JPS effective July 12, 2021. It has been an incredible honor to serve as Superintendent for 18 years & to be an administrator in this district for 34 years.
