THEY are an incredible set of Dorset Christmas lights that have caught the eye of thousands of people over many years. But almost none of these onlookers will have known the touching importance of the display to the Wimborne family who convert their home every festive season. Phil and Lynne Toms have been decorating the detached house in Leigh Road for more than 20 years. Alongside the importance of Christmas celebrations as a Christian family and the joy the lights bring others, the display has a connection to someone close to their hearts. Their daughter Laura Stephenson has extremely rare genetic condition 4P-trisomy, which normally means those with the condition do not reach their teenage years.
