tough, and they have a lot of idealogical division within their group, and i think they re going to have a hard time making this work. jeffrey, do you think they can get the votes? ted cruz said he thinks it s possible. i think it s possible. this is why i m glad this president is in office. this is the art of the deal. when you do these kinds of things, you have to get people from all sides in a room together and keep shepherding them and shepherding them until you get it done. i ve seen this at work myself as a staffer on capitol hill. i ve seen it at work in platform committees at the republican national convention. over and over and over again, it s always the same process. it s sausage making. it s not very glamorous. there s always people that say i don t like this or that. this is how it gets done, and this is where the president s background is going to be very helpful. bakari, i just assume as a democrat you feel a little emboldened tonight. a little?
