DVIDS - News - NAVFAC Southwest ROICC at Travis AFB Completes Corrosion Control Hangar

9 FAIRFIELD, Calif. – Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Southwest Resident Officer in Charge (ROICC) Travis completed, this fall, the construction testing and inspection of a newly installed $6.7 million fire detection and protection system in the Corrosion Control Hangar at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Calif. Travis Air Force Base Corrosion Control Hangar serves as an aircraft cleaning and maintenance facility for U.S. Air Force C-5, KC-10, C-17, and KC-46 aircraft valued at more than $7 trillion. “The ROICC office lead the way with the coordination efforts of the many different interested parties for this important Air Force project,” said Jeffrey Griffin, ROICC Travis engineering technician.

Bank of America, Franciscan Center deliver thousands of meals to homeless

Bank of America in Hunt Valley answered a call to help feed those in need.Organizations helping to feed those in need are increasingly relying on the generosity of the community to reach as many people as possible.A daily delivery of food to a homelessness encampment under the Jones Falls Expressway is one of many stops by the Franciscan Center of Baltimore. Unfortunately, I feel like it s getting worse, and it s December, and the days are getting darker, and a lot of people s hope is getting darker, said Jeffrey Griffin, executive director of the Franciscan Center.The Franciscan Center delivers more than 6,000 meals per week throughout the community. Since the summer, 1,000 of those weekly meals have come from the Bank of America in Hunt Valley.
