i m lesli foster in for 9 news now. the police officers involved in thursday s shootout at a security check.are speaking out for the first time. this morning officers jeffrey amos and marvin carraway and colin richards described what happened on the early show. we have the story. i. i looked at the shooter. we made eye contact and the look he had on his face and the glare in his eyes, i knew something was about to happen. reporter: this pentagon police officer marvin carraway was standing guard on thursday evening along with fellow officers jeffrey amos and colin richards. that s when john patrick bedell strolled up and started to shoot. the shooter drew his weapon and started to fire at me. everything was very quick and at the same time very slow. once i heard what was a gunshot, i immediately turned and about to exit the booth. when i saw the guy running at me toward the weapon i immediately began to fire. all three officers returned fire, shooting and kil
