Reporter hey, liz, we got an update from the Fire Department. They say the fire is close t co where as you said 150 firefighters have been battling this blaze since about 4 15 this morning. The fire broke out in the rear of the pier 45 warehouse where Fishing Companies, the blue and gold fleet and the ss Jeremiah Obrien have offices. Flames shooting into the morning sky. Smoke could be seen for up to 15 miles away. Luckily, no injuries have been reported. Trooper bob conrad with the iowa state patrol says while it appears ice did play a role, he says its also apparent that the driver of the minivan failed to maintain control of that vehicle. He says the van was also overloaded, and that meant too many people inside the vehicle, and not enough seat belts.
