Copeland council elects new chair
A new chairwoman has been elected for Copeland council.
Jeannette Forster will succeed Charles Maudling as the chairwoman for 2021/22.
Councillor Forster, who represents the Sneckyeat ward, was elected to the position at the council’s annual general meeting today.
Linda Jones-Bulman has been elected as deputy chairwoman for the forthcoming year.
Councillor Forster, a Copeland councillor for the past six years, said: “It is a great honour to be elected as chair.
