The moment has finally arrived. It’s the announcement I have been waiting for. This is a huge moment for the SouthCoast: the Dartmouth Shaw s has officially taken the directional arrows off the floor of its grocery aisles. So, my fellow shoppers, will you rejoice with me or are you sad to see those arrows go?
It was the hot topic all morning at Fun 107, when our coworker Kristen shared the good news.
“The one-way stickers on supermarket floors are being removed!” she exclaimed. She saw a worker remove them with her own eyes.
At this time, the parent company of Shaw s and Star Market is the only one to announce they re removing those arrows, and I have no doubt that the remaining supermarkets will follow suit.
Last month, I told you about an odd Easter Sunday occurrence that happened to my family on the way up and back to my parent s house for our family get-together.
As she often does, particularly on holidays, my wife had been thinking about and missing her mom. On the way up to my parents, my wife saw a license plate with her mother s initials. Amazingly, about eight hours later while on the way home, we saw that very same car, followed by another car with the license plate WeLuvU.
The experience was settling for my wife. She looked at it as a sign from her mom telling her that she was there with her, celebrating Easter alongside her.

There was a pretty gnarly incident on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth earlier this morning that involved a rogue surfboard and a Nissan Rogue SUV.
Someone was traveling down the highway with a surfboard, which came loose from the vehicle and slammed into the front end of a Nissan Rogue. The surfboard was lodged into a thin slot on the grill perfectly like a dart hitting the bullseye on a dartboard.
The Massachusetts State Police responded to the call and reported the following on their Facebook: SURFS UP in Dartmouth. While on patrol Trooper Pereira was dispatched to a unusual call. He arrived on scene to a surfboard lodged into a vehicle on RT 195 in Dartmouth. The vehicle that the board came from never stopped but thankfully no one was injured. Please enjoy this beautiful weather as we get into the summer months AND make sure items are properly secured to your vehicles. -Massachusetts State Police
