On the cusp of another COVID spring, travel editor Freda Moon has tasked herself with seeking out more adventures. And, specifically, adventures that end in a day trip-worthy meal.
Tucked between Coast Guard Island and the 1-880, Quinn s Lighthouse Restaurant and Pub fits the bill. So on a recent afternoon, Moon pushed her lime green Ocean Kayak into the Oakland Estuary towards the 131-year old lighthouse, a fish burger and a Bloody Mary.

American Airlines is punching back at JetBlue for invading its Miami hub.Jim Glab
American Airlines and JetBlue have unveiled their initial plans for code-sharing and marketing cooperation on routes out of New York and Boston, a partnership they announced last summer.
The two airlines didn’t have much to say about how the partnership will affect the New York-San Francisco market, which they both serve from JFK, except to note that customers will see “enhanced schedules” between the two cities.
