St Kilda star Rowan Marshall will be sidelined for at least the next month with a stress injury in his foot.
The ruckman will not be able to train for the next month, likely ruling him out for at least Round 1.
Marshall had his best season yet in 2020, playing 19 games through the ruck and up forward and formed a dynamic tandem with Paddy Ryder. To have this happen right before the season is obviously disappointing given Rowan is such an important player in our squad, Saints chief operating officer Simon Lethlean said.

St Kilda star Jack Steele plans to lead by example as he embarks on his first season as Saints captain.
Steele will share the captaincy with veteran Jarryn Geary who held the role solely for four years up until this year.
“I’m probably not the most vocal captain going around,” Steele told
Sportsday.
“I’m quite an introvert and I suppose ‘Gearsy’ (Geary) is a bit of an extrovert, so we complement each other really well.
“Out on the field, I feel like I’m the kind of captain that will lead from the front and by example.
