A pair of meet records in the discus and shot put were bettered by Razorbacks Ralford Mullings and Rojé Stona on Friday at the John McDonnell Invitational. Mullings won the discus with a throw of 199 feet, 2 inches, while Stona set a career best of 65 feet, 10.5 inches in the shot put.
For a guy who hadn t even practiced the 3,000 steeplechase until Thursday, University of Arkansas junior Jacob McLeod had an impressive racing debut in the event.
The Bowerman watch list features three Razorbacks following the NCAA Indoor Championships, including the debuts of Jaydon Hibbert and Carey McLeod along with 2022 finalist Ayden Owens-Delerme.
A last round leap which measured 27 feet, 6.75 inches (8.40) secured the NCAA Indoor long jump title for Razorback Carey McLeod by a quarter of an ince, or one centimeter, on Friday evening at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
