"The latest numbers we pulled show that demand continues to be up, and the amount of food we can distribute is down once again," said Jared Slinde, a Great Plains Food Bank spokesperson.
Due to inflation and rising food costs, the Great Plains Food Bank has seen a 14% increase in need for food while the total amount of food the organization distributed fell by 15% so far this year.
