I mean, it you look at what that product was 50 years ago compared to what that product is today, it’s a higher percentage of choice and prime, it’s less select. It’s just a better product all the way around and that’s what our consumers are demanding.”

Tuesday Dec 22nd, 2020 I’m Bob Larson. The Beef Checkoff program has been taking shots, in recent years, from groups claiming the program does not have what’s best for the cattle producer’s in mind.
The Cattlemen’s Beef Board, that oversees the collection and spending of Checkoff funds, says that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Board Chair, Jared Brackett says they just administer the Checkoff, it’s the producers who call the shots …
