The Board of Education's (BOE) decision to not ban two book from the Newtown High School library comes one day after the resignation of Republican BOE members Janet Kuzma and Jennifer Larkin.
On the night of the first day of Pride Month, many parents and students are celebrating the success of the LGBTQIA+ community in Newtown, Connecticut after the controversial book, the school board decided not to ban two books.
The Newtown Board of Education has voted not to ban two books from their high school’s library. Instead, school administrators will work with concerned parents on a case-by-case basis.
