Through the tears and pain of mourning the death of his fiancée, Jane Valentine, Gerald Griffin of Gainesville set his mind on a mission and wrote.
Griffin said he released the suspense novel, “The Gods of Winter,” in 2017 as a literary odyssey to keep the memory of Valentine alive. The book intertwined factual aspects of his life with fiction and followed the character Bob Daniels, who the author said was based on himself. When he finished the novel, Griffin said he felt motivated to write a sequel to carry his late fiancée’s legacy even further.
