Auburn University research team receives grant to study coastal resilience along Gulf of Mexico

An Auburn University research team in the College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment has been awarded a grant of $450,000 to develop a holistic platform that integrates multiscale observations, machine learning and systems modeling for coastal monitoring, assessment and prediction, or Coast-MAP, of ecosystem health, water resources and social resilience.

Auburn University’s College of Forestry, Wildlife and Environment plans to soon enhance Weagle Woods, an approximately 11-acre tract of forestland located behind the Forestry and Wildlife Sciences Building on the corner of South Donahue Drive and Lem Morrison Drive.
