PHD Chamber delegation calls on NHIDCL ED, takes up flyover issue

Excelsior Correspondent JAMMU, Jan 31: A delegation of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry ( Jammu Chapter) led by its chairman Rahul Sahai, met Riten K Singh, Executive Director NHIDCL at his office here today and discussed issues related to flyover works in Jammu city. The delegation expressed gratitude to the Executive Director, NHIDCL for getting approval of extension of flyover of Jammu Akhnoor highway’s phase-I from Canal Head to 4th Tawi Bridge on PHDCCI’s demand, Singh apprised the delegation that extension is approved and work will start soon after the land acquisition is done in coming months. Singh shared complete details of the flyover extension and said that this will decongest the main traffic areas of Jammu-Akhnoor Road like Canal Head, Talab Tillo Road, Bhagwati Nagar road and Traffic to Akhnoor will be smooth and will land at Muthi directly from 4th Tawi Bridge. Singh also shared that design will lead to minimum land acquisition.
