(Marion) Voters have spoken in the Marion community. Victor Contreras on Saturday was re-elected for an additional two years as the mayor for the city of Marion.
Also on the ballot were mayoral candidates Felix Arambula and Suzanne Upper-Gonzales. Contreras received 109 of the votes cast or 65 percent of the votes. Arambula followed with 33 votes and Upper-Gonzales with 24 votes.
Contreras says he appreciates the vote of confidence and looks forward to continuing to lead the city. Contreras says he especially appreciates Arambula and Upper-Gonzales for their interest in also trying to make a difference.

(Seguin) Early voting is underway for a number of school district and municipal elections being held in and around the Guadalupe County area. Guadalupe County Elections Administrator Lisa Hayes says the early voting period, for the May 1 election date, officially started on Monday.
“There are several cities and schools that are having elections on the May 1 election date. A portion of those are being conducted by the Guadalupe County Elections Office. The rest are being conducted by (offices in) other counties…Comal County and things like that. But if they come into Guadalupe County, then the Guadalupe County Elections Office (still) has their election information on our website, even though we are not conducting their elections.
