FLAGLER BEACH Flagler Beach Mayor Linda Provencher and a group of volunteers will spend a few hours on Christmas Eve spreading holiday cheer and delivering dinners to those in need. The Flagler Women s Club is providing a gift for each person as well, said Provencher. Swillerbees Craft Donuts & Coffee Bar is providing a cupcake for everyone.
Provencher said they ve received quite a few delivery requests. I m still counting; I know we have at least what we had for Thanksgiving which is 110, said Provencher.
Beach Front Grille in Flagler Beach provides the meals. The mayor has a good group of people, said owner Jamie Bourdeau. When she asked me the other day if I was still interested [in preparing the meals], I told her I insisted on doing it. She does a lot for our community. She does a lot behind the scenes that people don t know about.
