We have been trying to reach a consensus with them for the past two months but they are not ready to compromise on their demands,” he said while talking to media. He explained when an organisation was proscribed, bank accounts and identity cards of its stakeholders were blocked and their movement was restricted.

Operation to recover 12 kidnapped cops, Rangers: No compromise on state writ, says govt

By News desk LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar s aide Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Sunday said that miscreants armed with petrol bombs attacked the Nawankot Police Station, taking 12 policemen hostage and leaving six injured. Sharing a statement by the Lahore police, she said that owing to the attack, in which the attackers used petrol bombs and bottles of acid, Rangers and police personnel were trapped inside the police station. The miscreants held the deputy superintendent of police hostage at gunpoint, along with 11 other policemen, and drove them to their markaz (comprising a mosque and madrassah) nearby. Aside from attacking the police station and kidnapping officials, the miscreants also stole an oil tanker carrying 50,000 litres of petrol, she said.

Rashid rules out talks with banned TLP

Daily Times April 19, 2021 Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan is taking steps to control inflation in the country and relief is being provided to the people through ‘Sasta Bazaars.’ Talking to the media during a visit to a Ramazan Model Bazaar on Sunday, the interior minister said that relief is being provided on edible items in these bazaars. Responding to a question, the minister ruled out talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan. “No negotiation process is underway with the TLP,” said the minister. Giving details of the proscribed organisation’s blockage of roads and highways across the country, Rashid said that 192 locations across the country had been sealed by the banned outfit.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that the first round of talk between government and the outlawed Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) has been completed on late Sunday night, Dunya News reported. Sheikh Rashid said that the second round of talks with TLP will be held today (Monday). He said that Punjab government played crucial role in successful negotiations with the banned TLP. He informed that the TLP has also released 11 police officials who have been abducted by the activists of banned organization in Lahore on Sunday morning.
