Hopkinsville City Council was sworn in Tuesday evening, with a video showing the process released Wednesday, and they’re welcoming four new members into their ranks.
Natasha Francis will be representing Ward 1, having defeated incumbent Darvin Adams Ward 3 will now be represented by Alethea West, taking the place of longtime councilmember Don Ahart. In Ward 4, stepping in after the passing of councilmen Paul Henson, is Chuck Crabtree and in Ward 10, after defeating incumbent Jimmy Dossett in his bid for re-election, Steve Keel will be serving.
Mayor Wendell Lynch was also sworn-in to his first full-term as mayor he was sworn in as interim mayor after the resignation of Carter Hendricks, and went on to win in the general election against James R. Knight. He says 2020 and been full of ups and downs for the City of Hopkinsville, and he’s ready to move forward into a happier year.
