The Cabinet Office minister michael gove has played down concerns highlighted by leaked government documents that warn of chaos in the event of a no deal brexit. He said significant steps had been taken in the past three weeks to accelerate planning for such a scenario. The documents, seen by the sunday times, warn of shortages of food, fuel and medicines, as well as the return of a hard border in ireland if britain leaves the eu without a deal.
