LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The first shipment of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine arrived Thursday morning at IU Health Arnett. I can honestly say this is probably one of the best days ever, says Abby Brendel, pharmacy operations coordinator for IU Health Arnett.
Brendel was the first person to handle the 975 doses of the vaccine, which were delivered to the hospital at about 9 a.m. in a large cardboard box full of dry ice.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI)-Governor Eric Holcomb announced Wednesday that hospitals will be required to postpone or reschedule non-emergency procedures. Outpatient surgeries will still take place but any surgery that requires a patient to stay overnight at the hospital will be postponed if it is elective.
