barbara starr, appreciate it, thank you. joining me to discuss cnn senior political analyst rob brownstein and scott jennings and simone sanders. barbara brought up an interesting point there, you never tell the boss no, ron. we know that it seems to be the president likes to have people around him who are not telling him no. i once did a session with james bakker who i think widely considered the greatest white house chief of staff of modern times and said the single hardest thing was to find people who would go into the office and tell the president he was wrong and chief of staff, you try to recruit the president to tell people they were wrong and usely they chicken out and you have to deal with it yourself. what we have seen from him in public is he s echoing many of the president s views, hard-line views and reinforcing that side of him, rather than what many people thought originally that he would be something of a kind of if not moderating force, a constraining force. i thin
