SIBU: A 43-year old woman succumbed to serious injuries after falling from the sixth floor of a hotel at Jalan Pahlawan here in what is believed to be a suicide.
Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said at about 9.34pm Thursday (Jan 7), a female police constable on duty at the central police station received a call from the public about a woman who had jumped off a hotel.
He said that the woman has been identified as Kong Mei Ying of Jalan Oya, adding that she suffered broken hands and a serious head injury
ACP Stanley said according to Kong s husband, she had told him earlier in the afternoon that she was going out to meet a friend.
