Hamas Senior Official Osama Hamdan Denies Group Had Presence in Destroyed Gaza Office Building On 5/20/21 at 2:58 PM EDT A senior official for Hamas, Osama Hamdan, denied Thursday that the group in Gaza had a presence in the 12-story Gaza office building that was destroyed by an Israeli air strike and which housed offices for the Associated Press and Al Jazeera, the Associated Press reported. Israel s military issued a warning before obliterating the al-Jalaa Building, that was also a residential tower, on Saturday which provided for everyone inside to evacuate. Hamdan asserted that there was no Hamas military presence or armed group inside.
