âApple sales are currently staying on a very high levelâ
The sales of Polish apples are at a high level at the moment. Demand is high in several European countries, like Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium. Prices have increased slightly over the past month, as was expected. However, thanks to growers opening up their cold chambers, one Polish exporter is convinced theyâll be able to supply good quality apples until the end of the season.
As there are some shortages of apples in several European countries, space has been created for Polish apples to be exported to these territories. According to Jakub Krawczyk, export manager for Appolonia: âSince we last spoke the sales of apples have increased and are currently staying on a very high level. Weâre at the point in the season where export is going pretty well. This is partly due to shortages in quantities in some countries, which creates space for our products.
