For the last several decades, Henry’s Woods has been preserved as part of the Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center state park in Northampton County. It was recognized Thursday by the Old-Growth Forest Network, a nonprofit that’s creating a network of protected and accessible old-growth forests, or forests that could someday turn in to old-growth forests.

Workers at Jacobsburg Environmental Education Center are looking for the person or persons who dumped a pile of cut greens and unbaked biscuits in the center’s parking lot.
Two piles of bright green kale and a large clump of dough appeared sometime in the snow banks over the weekend in the center’s Boulton Parking lot in Bushkill Township.
“Dumping of anything on commonwealth property is illegal and disrespectful. Even the potentially well-meant feeding of wildlife is illegal both in state park and game commission regulations,” the center said in a Facebook post Monday morning.
