Murder charge included among grand jury indictments for December

Among the indictments made by the December 2020 term of the Pike County Grand Jury, filed in Pike County Common Pleas Court on Jan. 5, 2021, included a charge of murder. In one case, John A. Warren, 62, of 22427 Ohio 335, Waverly, was indicted on one count of murder, a first-degree felony, and tampering with evidence, a third-degree felony. The News Watchman previously reported on Nov. 11, 2020, that Warren was arrested and charged with murder and tampering with evidence in the death of a local man on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2020 after Pike County Dispatch received a call of a stabbing at a residence located at 5719 State Route 220.

Pike County Man Arrested on Child Endangering and Pandering Felony Charges

Dec 11, 2020 A Pike County man was arrested on felony charges of child endangerment and pandering obscenities harmful to juveniles earlier this month. The Pike County Sheriff s Office received a report in September alleging that Jacob M. Brigner, 32, of Beaver, had sent pornographic images and videos to a juvenile. According to Pike County Sheriff James Nelson, Brigner was found in a camper with a runaway juvenile on December 2, 2020. Brigner was taken to the Butler County Jail. He appeared in court two days later where bond was set at $84,500 with a 10% prevision. According to the Sheriff s Office, the case will be presented to the Pike County Grand Jury.
