Movies with Mary: 18 months after November chills

Movies with Mary: 18 months after November chills Mary Cox, mary.cox@edwpub.net FacebookTwitterEmail The Intelligencer was recently sent an invitation to view a new play on YouTube written and directed by a doctoral student from SIU, Jacob Juntunen. The play is called “18 Months After November.” The play, which is a series of phone calls, centers around a young woman, Emma, living in St. Louis, who is trying to leave the city and travel to the Republic of California to be with her sister. Marshal law is imposed all over the United States. You need visas to cross state lines and they are almost impossible to get. Gas is difficult to buy. Phone calls are not safe. Curfews have been imposed. The Proud Boys and white supremacy groups arbitrarily show up at people’s homes and threaten them.
