unfortunate medical mishap. which leads us to job roberts in thorns. what happened in court today, john? reporter: this is just such a bizarre case and keeps getting more and more bizarre as more evidence is uncovered. it was a first appearance here at this new orleans parish court what what an interesting contrast compared to robert durst in the past. the son of real estate tycoon durst, and he was there in an orange jumpsuit with handcuffs and leg irons on. as the hearing began durst was being kept in a glass isolation booth in the courtroom. he appeared to be either sleeping or meditating in a room where nearly every prison was assigned a private investigator, durst had four private attorneys, including the high-poured hewitt of houston attorney who defended him against the charges of murdering the neighbor more than a decade ago. durst waived his right to extra addition and through his attorney said he is eager to go to los angeles. let me just say that we came
