Los Angeles County supervisors approved a $1.85 million payment to settle a whistleblower lawsuit brought upon by former county social worker Dennis Finn over alleged child welfare failures.
The social worker said he was fired after discovering a pattern of delays and improper practices that put children at risk following the death of Gabriel Fernandez.
