unredacted in federal court. among them the bits of information we have is that michael flynn was providing information to the special counsel about conversations people inside the trump campaign, people associated with the trump transition, including information about conversations they were having about wikileaks and outreach to wikileaks, especially after those wikileaks emails started getting released. i will read you a piece of what one of the documents said. the defendant, that s flynn, relayed to the government s statements made in 2016 by senior campaign officials about wikileaks to which only a select few people were privy, for example, the defendant recalled conversations with senior campaign officials after the lease of the podesta emails, during which the prospect of reaching out to wikileaks was discussed. you will remember, wolf, this is a big part of the volume one of the special counsel s report, the mueller report. and we now know michael flynn
improper and i think the judge correctly fixed it. i think what he was really upset about is flynn is getting this sweetheart deal and he doesn t understand why bob mueller gave him such a sweetheart deal if he was if his conduct was so much worse than what he plead guilty to. you think it would be a get out of jail free card because he s going in there with extensive corporation, six to six month guidelines and recommendation of no jail from bob mueller. the judge is thinking to himself, why is it it s only zero to six because you didn t make him pleads guilty to all of his guilty. which is different than what your old office would do. they would make you plead to the highest crime they can charge you with. i think the charge bargaining that mueller s team is engaging in is shocking to some judges. i think it didn t sit well. i think you both have laid that out really well with some of the creative differences we re talking about.
think, fits into the whole pattern of everything we have seen from trump affiliated people since the day this investigation began. they are always trying to down play their relationship with russia when, in fact, it was a lot more significant and extensive than we have understood. a lot of the thee atrics are fascinating, the special counsel has recommended no jail time, so why are we seeing all of these documents and whose arguments are they going to bolster. to the jail time, why there s a lot of speculation he might not get jail time and that is because he has clearly offered a lot of very important and consequential cooperation, some of which we saw the results of earlier today with the prosecution of two other turkish american officials for trying to make a deal to extricate this turkish cleric from the u.s. to turkey, point being flynn was involved in that as well, why is flynn not being charged in that,
