While the area’s traditional summertime events are once again popping up on event listings, some might not have the same pre-pandemic atmosphere. Event organizers will likely announce additional precautions to keep guests safe as event dates approach.

IOLA, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) Changes to admission and concession prices to reduce the need for cash change are among the modifications Iola Car Show organizers are making to hold the 2021 event during the coronavirus pandemic.
Day passes will be $20 at the gate, with three-day passes costing $30. Children 12 and under, as well as parking, are free. Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets beforehand online, where prices are $15 for one day and $28 for three days. Concession prices are being adjusted up and down to create more $5 and $10 prices, so less change needs to be given back to customers.

IOLA, WI (WSAU) After one year off due to COVID-19, organizers of the annual Iola Car Show and Swap Meet say their event is being planned for this July.
Executive Director Joe Opperman released a statement this week saying that his staff is ready to rally from the cancellation of the show in 2020.
This year’s show will be held July 8th, 9th, and 10th. Opperman says they are preparing over 1,600 campground spaces and over 4,000 swap spaces. Over 2,500 cars will also be on display over the three-day show.
Opperman added that they are hoping the show can bring positivity, hope, and much-needed revenue to the area after a tough 2020.
