He claimed government heard Economic Growth unlimited freedom, and he was determined to weaken the governments role in markets. But things didnt work out as he promised. As government pulled back, rich and powerful stepped in. Smart group of wealthy elites and giant corporations gained more control over both our economy and over our democracy. Economic growth slowed and americas middleclass got hollowed out. Reagan had it wrong. Our problem isnt Big Government.
