A two-day workshop on PMEGP and other schemes was held for the current batch of Entrepreneurship Development Centre (EDC) students, Peren Government College (PGC). The workshop was an initiative of Start-up Nagaland, supported by IDAN and implemented by ESB, an update stated. Inspector, District Industries and Commerce, Peren, Imti Jamir, highlighted the credit schemes aimed at supporting entrepreneurs in starting their own businesses. Programmes under PMEGP, ‘Start-Up Nagaland’ and PMFME Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) were highlighted to the EDC students. The schemes provide financial assistance to the unemployed youths in the form of loans and credit facilities, making it easier for them to get started with their business ventures.
