Only a few episodes of
Chicago P.D. Season 8 are left before the One Chicago series heads into hiatus, and based on recent events on top of what s to come, it s safe to say that the show isn t getting any less intense as the finale approaches. In a clip from the May 12 episode (seen above), Upton and Halstead s investigation into a series of crimes puts them quite literally in the line of fire, and the partners-turned-love interests find themselves in very serious danger.
In the next new episode, called Safe, Upton and Halstead will have to switch gears from interviewing a victim to racing into action mode to try and catch the attackers striking again in a nearby house. Fortunately, the Upstead partnership is clearly going strong as well as their personal relationship, and neither is hurt in pursuit of the criminals when the bullets start flying.
