today, shannon? when asked those questions, he refers to bob, when referring to robert mueller. they go back 30 years. he has a long history and having previously served as the attorney general under president george h.w. bush. he leaves a trail. that is going to be the subject of a lot of questioning from these folks today, because he has had a very expansive view of presidential power. many in that room would like to reign in president donald trump. they are going to want to talk a lot about how he feels about presidential power. today, he wrote memos in the past when he was in the department of justice of legal counsel heading up that office talking about presidential power when it came to things like invading iraq and panama. you know they are going to pars through that old record to see how it applies to the commander in chief. a lot of the democrats would like to limit the power he has over making the decisions. bill: lindsey graham in the room taking over for chuck

are we doing? what does victory look like? no one can actually articulate you just articulated what has not been fixed. but we don t have what looks like a timeline or perhaps even an absolute strategy as to how to fix what s wrong in syria. so i guess my question is what would a successful response from the president actually be? to say i get it, there are a whole bunch of americans who think we shouldn t be there, but pulling everybody out isn t the answer either. for a start, this is nothing at all like any of the previous wars the united states has been involved in. this is not like invading iraq. this is not which we did twice. this is a very different kind of operation. it s a small footprint, it is very cheap compared to a full-scale operation. the risk taken by american soldiers is much, much more tightly limited. the risk of american soldiers coming home in body bags is very, very small.
