51st IFFI would be organized in a hybrid manner
New Delhi -Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Shri Prakash Javadekar said that the idea of organizing a film festival to celebrate short films made on coronavirus was wonderful. Speaking at the International Coronavirus Short Film Festival here today, Shri Javadekar said that the festival witnessing participation of 2,800 films from 108 countries on a single topic is an example of peoples’ immense talent. The Minister congratulated the organizers of the festival.
Shri Javadekar said that the pandemic has caused major upsets in countries across the globe. However, he noted, that India has been able to handle the crisis well under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, who recognized the crisis early in 2020 and has since been working relentlessly against the threat.

The coronavirus crisis is now on its way out  and soon  vaccines would be available in India too, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said on Monday. He was speaking at the International Coronavirus Short Film Festival.
He took the opportunity to caution people against letting the guard down before antibodies are created and second dose of the vaccine administered.
Javadekar said that the pandemic has caused major upsets in countries across the globe. However, he noted, that India has been able to handle the crisis well under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, who, he said, recognised the crisis early.

NEW DELHI, Dec 14: Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday said the government plans to promote all kinds of good films, including documentaries and short films.
Addressing a session at the online International Coronavirus Short Film Festival, he also said it was nothing short of a “communication revolution” that everyone with access to a smartphone and a story to tell is a filmmaker today.
“People have now become citizen journalists, where they shoot on mobile phones and even edit them and are ready with their short films. This is a communication revolution,” the minister said

New Delhi, Dec 14 : Screenings and an award ceremony for short films on coronavirus was organised here on Monday.
Titled International Coronavirus Short Film Festival, the event saw limited number of guests owing to the pandemic. Most of the jury members, including singer Sonu Nigam were unable to attend.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar was the chief guest of the event, and the festival was presided by Union Minister of Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
