Looking For Ways For Kids To Be Free From the Masks

Looking For Ways For Kids To Be Free From the Masks Yakima County Commissioner Amanda McKinney has a different approach to dealing with Covid Pandemic restrictions.  She takes little of the  state proffered wisdom at face value.  She does her own research, her own homework.  She looks for ways to move forward and she pushes back, especially when it comes to kids. McKinney is a mother herself and she says her second grader is tough on masks to the point that she questions if there is any benefit provided at all.  She also questions if any of the alleged benefit is even necessary for kids .

San Bernardino County residents 16 and older now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine

San Bernardino County residents 16 and older now eligible for COVID-19 vaccine San Bernardino County residents aged 16 or older can now receive a coronavirus vaccine. The decision to expand eligibility was approved during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting as officials announced the county will also be moving into the less-restrictive orange tier of the state’s reopening plan this week. This represents another milestone in our effort to get this pandemic under control and return life to normal in San Bernardino County,” Andrew Goldfrach, the county’s Interim Health Director, said in a statement. “The disease is still with us, and we still need to remain cautious to avoid further outbreaks. Yet we have successfully vaccinated tens of thousands of our most vulnerable residents and have seen new cases and hospitalizations decrease rapidly, so we believe it’s time to open appointments to everyone in the county.”

Amesbury students adjust to hybrid learning model

Amesbury students adjust to hybrid learning model By Carol Feingold Correspondent On March 15, 2020, Gov. Charlie Baker closed all schools in the Commonwealth for three weeks, beginning Tuesday, March 17, until at least April 6, 2020. Weeks turned into months. That was almost one year ago, a year of Amesbury students attending school remotely or, at best, in the hybrid learning model. Last spring the Amesbury Public Schools were in the remote learning model for all students, but in October and November they gradually switched into the hybrid learning model. By early December all Amesbury public schools were in the hybrid model. Students participating in the hybrid model receive four days of live, synchronous instruction - two days in-person and two days remote. Wednesday is asynchronous for all learners.
